Trasladamos este a una nueva casa. He estado intentando evitarlo desde hace un tiempo, pero como parece que no puede ser, pues cuanto menos lo dilate, mejor. Se debe a un cambio de plataforma, de WordPress a Blogger. Y el motivo me apetece contarlo, porque tiene que ver con uno de los proyectos para este nuevo año.

Tengo intención de elaborar un libro con todos los posts publicados en el blog durante el año. Me servirá como recopilación gráfica de los trabajos elaborados, así como de mis intereses durante ese año y de cómo han ido evolucionando, y además será un objeto bonito y fácil de consultar cuando apetezca echar la vista atrás. Está claro que yo no soy de las que piensa que el libro en papel desaparecerá, en favor de los libros electrónicos y demás artilugios informáticos… Cada uno tiene su lugar…

Pues para elaborar este catálogo quiero utilizar Blurb, un servicio online de publicación de libros, que parece que ofrece una presentación muy apetecible y muy cómodo de usar, por lo que lo he probado hasta ahora. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, ni yo ni el servicio técnico de Blurb conseguimos que sea compatible con este blog. ¡Y no será porque no lo hemos intentado…! Así que la solución más cómoda que he encontrado es la de mudarme. Parece que Mr. Google extiende sus tentáculos…

HEXAGON OBSESSION

Uno de mis muchos trabajos de hexágonos. Son una verdadera obsesión para mí! En realidad es un tipo de obra muy cómoda para llevar de viaje y transportarla para coser en cualquier lugar. Vamos, que por eso siempre tengo alguno en proceso…

En este caso las piezas están cosidas siguiendo el patrón del medallón (“medallion quilt”), en figuras concéntricas crecientes, que también son hexágonos. Hexágonos formando hexágonos, me encanta…
